Today we turn our attention to the age breakdown of the tablet internet audience.

What’s clear from the data is that – at a global level – 25-34s form the biggest share of users (38%). This is significantly ahead of all other age groups, including the 35-44s and even the 16-24s (at 24% each).

If we compare this to the age profile of PC/laptop users, the strength of their lead on tablets is abundantly clear. Perhaps more importantly, though, 25-34s are now the leading internet users across all device types, confirming just how important they have become as an online audience.
