What subjects are internet users most likely to talk about online?

According to data from our upcoming GWI Brand report, technology is one of the most popular topics: over a quarter have talked about mobiles and over a fifth claim to have discussed computers. Clearly, then, the desire to be seen as a tech-influencer is strong – especially in countries like China, India and Vietnam where the numbers who have discussed mobiles hit the 40% mark.

Across all ten of the most talked about subjects, 16-34s have a significant lead over the other age groups. Tech is especially important for the youngest internet users, while travel and cars are particular favorites of 25-34s.
