Continuing our look at how internet users are consuming content, here we focus on how many active Google+ users (those who have used or contributed to the network in the last month) are sharing branded videos.

At a global level, the figure exceeds 40% – reflecting just how significant social networks have become as platforms to share and view content.

But if we look at this behavior in ten of the countries tracked by GWI, it’s clear that video-sharing varies widely between markets – from over a third in places like Indonesia, Brazil and Turkey to under 20% in the UK and Poland.

This type of variation is also present when the same activity is tracked across other social platforms, underlining why it’s so important to analyze trends at a regional and local level.
