In a new addition to our survey, we now ask internet users on which devices they engage with various forms of online TV. Today, we focus on TV/film subscription services.
Interestingly, PCs/laptops have a (very slight) lead over smart television sets for engaging with this media, something which most likely stems from the comparatively lower ownership rates of connected TVs able to support these online services (1 in 3 own a smart TV versus 3 in 4 who own a PC/laptop).
Perhaps most striking here is that – despite their smaller screens – mobiles are not far behind both of these devices for this activity, with smartphones pushing above TVs on this metric among 16-34s.
