Across GWI’s 32 surveyed countries, a third of the online population aged 16-64 are buying products online using a mobile. Shopping apps are a key factor here: in the last month, just over a quarter of internet users used one.

Not surprisingly, younger demographics are the most enthusiastic about shopping apps; by region, APAC tops the table.

Shopping apps are not just for browsing: last month, 70% of those who used a shopping app also bought a product online via their mobile.
