Considering that 8 in 10 online adults outside of China visit YouTube each month, the potential audience for the long-awaited YouTube Gaming is vast.
What’s more, the gaming habits of the site’s audience show that this new venture has strong prospects. Currently, 7 in 10 YouTube visitors are gaming on their PCs or laptops, while 65% are using smartphones. Also key are the 4 in 10 YouTube visitors who are console gamers (20% ahead of the global average).
Perhaps most important of all is that just 9% of YouTube visitors do not play games – a stat which underlines just how big the YouTube Gaming audience could be.
