As this year’s Premier League draws to a close, our Chart today confirms that second screens will challenge televisions for the attention of Premier League Fans during these final matches.

The vast majority of fans are set to reach for their devices as they watch the final games unfold, with 91% saying they use another device as they watch TV. Mobiles will be the key go-to here, being used by 75%.

It’s social platforms where these second-screeners are most likely to be heading. With 50% using social networks and the same proportion messaging/chatting with their friends, many are evidently keen to connect with other fans and keep up with reactions to games in real-time.
