Now that Snapchat has given publishers the option of linking directly to their Discover content on other platforms (most notably Facebook and Twitter), this week’s first Chart of the Day looks at which social networks are most popular among Snapchatters.
Facebook takes pole position here – 6 in 10 Snapchat users are actively using the network (with even more visiting it or having an account). That means a significant number of Snapchatters will now be open to Discover content even when they are not on Snapchat itself.
The opportunity for publishers to maximize the impact of their Discover content is obvious here. And for Snapchat, this new functionality brings the added benefit of publicizing its app across some of the world’s largest social networks. Snapchat has been one of the fastest growing platforms over the last year and this move could help it maintain this level of expansion.
